SWV & Microsoft Security Essentials

 As we know, and maybe you might not, SWV is a filter driver, see that as a layer hanging above your hard disk that monitors read and write actions.

An antivirus solution works the same, this could cause a collision between SWV and any other AV Solution.

SWV has something build in to circumvent this;

It is called: Program Ignore List

This will garantuee that both won't collide.

Microsoft Security Essentials causes a serious lag in hard disk access.

I could provide a simple regfile to import, but Symantec has blocked this a bit.

Do the following instead:

Open Regedit

Goto:

HLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\FSLX\Parameters\FSL

Double click on the Key: ProgramIgnoreList

And copy and Paste the following:

[_B_]PROGRAMFILES[_E_]\Microsoft Security Essentials\MsMpEng.exe
[_B_]PROGRAMFILES[_E_]\Microsoft Security Essentials\msseces.exe

Klik OK and Reboot, and your worries are gone.
